At The Bedside Trust...

We assist healthcare organizations to become more proactive, efficient businesses.

Together, we shift today’s individual way of “not working with each other”, into united, self-propelled workforces bent on curing our fundamental problems.

When everyone in your organization (from physicians to maintenance workers) is connected and empowered, the strength of their relationships become the driving force in meeting operational challenges.

As physicians and administrators, our time working the floors led us to create our Cultural Operating System (COS). Right now, you’re viewing this text on a browser, and you may have a Word doc, anti-virus software, and an email application open. Alone, these programs have great potential, but they need your computer’s operating system to communicate and perform properly.

Our COS creates a common language and environment, that peels away operational layers so you can identify and remove unneeded complexities before they permeate your entire organization.

Our Approach further clarifies how a Cultural Operating System leads to a self-organized, problem solving culture that raises performance, builds trust, and directly increases operational efficiency.

Q & A with the Bedside Faculty

Q: Dr. Wong, in a nutshell, what is the biggest problem facing healthcare today?

A: Our workforces are an overwhelmed collection of tribes and sub-tribes in an initiative-overloaded system that has deteriorated into an every-man-for-himself environment.

Q: How do you work with organizations to overcome this "individual driven" culture you describe?

A: By teaching them to create a self-organizing, collaborative system that breeds a "Community Intelligence" aimed at diagnosing and curing the root causes of our problems.
